Cookie policy

Cookie categories, consent controls, and how optional analytics or marketing cookies are handled.

/* REPLACE BEFORE LAUNCH: Replace with a generated Cookie Policy that lists the exact production cookies, providers, lifetimes, and purposes. */

Use a template generator before launch:

Necessary cookies keep users signed in, protect sessions, remember security-sensitive preferences, store consent choices, and support basic product behavior. These cookies cannot be turned off from the consent banner because the service depends on them.

Analytics cookies help measure page usage, product health, and reliability. Marketing cookies support campaign attribution and conversion measurement. Analytics and marketing cookies are optional and remain disabled unless a user grants consent.

On first visit, the consent banner provides equally visible choices to accept all optional cookies or reject all optional cookies. Users can also customize analytics and marketing preferences. Every choice is written to the consent log with consent version, method, IP address, and user agent.

Changing browser settings, clearing cookies, or using another device may reset local consent state and show the banner again.

  • cc.session_token: necessary authentication cookie.
  • cc.cookie_consent: necessary cookie that stores the user's cookie choice.
  • cc.analytics_consent: marker set only when analytics consent is granted.
  • cc.marketing_consent: marker set only when marketing consent is granted.
  • cc.referral_code: attribution cookie used when a visitor arrives with a referral code.
  • cc.onboarding_snooze: necessary preference cookie used to defer onboarding prompts.

Changes

This policy must be updated whenever a new cookie category, provider, purpose, or retention period is added.
